Ember Hollow Tale is the RPG I keep recommending to friends who say mobile games are too shallow. You play a young map-maker wandering between hillside villages, taking on turn-based fights and slowly piecing together a gentle story about a fading forest. It's not epic in the loud sense — it's warm and unhurried.

Battles use a simple timing element: land your inputs on the beat and your attacks hit harder. It keeps you engaged without demanding twitch reflexes. Progress saves cleanly, so dipping in for ten minutes never feels wasteful.

The writing is the star. Characters have small, believable worries, and the dialogue made me smile more than once. If you want something you can sink into slowly over a few weeks, this is a lovely companion.
