Calm games for a noisy commute

Some days I don't want a challenge on the train — I want the opposite. These are the games I reach for when the carriage is packed and my patience is thin.

Skyward Courier tops the list. Gliding between floating islands with the sound off is oddly meditative, and you can stop anytime without losing progress. Ember Hollow Tale works too, since its turn-based fights never demand fast fingers.

The trick with commute games is that they can't punish interruptions. If closing the app costs you progress, it's not a commute game. Everything here handles a sudden 'my stop!' gracefully.
